The cannon

An open brief for a full page image was the best way to be creative, I generally had no idea what I would do when I started it, and even at the early stages the story was playing out in my head as I drew. This was the second version of this, the initial one was a more general composition but I decided to restart it with this more dramatic view.I also started to incorporate some of the concept characters I did for the wider project. I wanted a more story driven narrative within the image, that story will be decided by the viewer and how they see the characters in it, several scenarios could be in play here, choose one. There was no roughs or preliminary drafts, when I worked these images the pencil went straight onto the board and the ink went over it.
