Death comes to Lienhard Niemanson Or The Automatyche
The titles amused me but were never used by anyone else and were little hints of narrative I used to put a story into the composition, no one else was as interested in the content being deliberately obscure as I was and as there was no directive to include product directly these became purely background images intended give a bit of depth to an otherwise quite sparse backstory. I did also love the real automatons that were presented as almost magical devices throughout the Middle Ages and renaissance and were exquisitely crafted and enormously expensive devices that showcased the skill of the craftsmen who made them. The idea behind the device is that it is a tarot, what it’s doing and where it’s being taken and it’s accompanying characters is left to the viewer.
